S&W PC Stealth Hunter vs. Wilson Combat Border Control Vang Comp

I was over at my gun store today to see what new stuff they had in. My ffl shows me both a S&W Performance Center Stealth Hunter and a Wilson Combat Border Patrol Vang Comp. They were the same price. Both the guns are awesome, and need help to decide on which one to get.

The Border Patrol was so smooth and everything about it seemed to be fine tuned and polished. It was finished with the grey ArmorTuff and looked sexy. I came home and did some research and the people who own them, love them, and the people who don't own or have shot them bash on them because of the price and whatnot. I already owned a Benelli M4 that's already all tuned and fixed perfectly for me. So for the people who own one, is it worth it?

I already have several of the 627 PC revolvers, and love them. They always seem hard to find, and usually pick up every one I find. This Stealth Hunter has been on my list for a while now. I really don't have any concerns about it, I'm just wondering which one I should pick. OR just pull out the check book, and cry once, and have the wife mad. I'm not too sure, I need to sleep it over, and just want to know what my fellow Calgunners think. Wilson Combat Border Patrol Vang Comp or the S&W Performance Center Stealth Hunter .44.

Also, how well does the Vang Comp ports work? Is it noticeably tighter?

Stealth Hunter in stock in a real brick and mortar store? You are a lucky man! I've never seen one up here in norcal.

        Honda Accord or Chevy Pickup?

Not really. I already have 50+ guns. My LGS just got these two in and was wondering which one I should get since they are the same price. I already have 10 shotguns and 6 PC revolvers.

I'd go with the smith & wesson man. I mean do you really need another shotgun? I have my benelli m2 and have setups for both hunting and HD and don't even feel the need for another! I feel like the revolver is more unique. But choose what your feeling!

I have that exact Stealth Hunter. BUY IT! It is accurate with a sweet trigger that breaks in a little with a few hundred rounds. I think the single action trigger is about 3#, maybe a little less. I carry it in a custom made leather shoulder rig when hunting. My Stealth Hunter finished off a charging, wounded hog right between the eyes from about 50' away

I'm going with the Stealth Hunter. I'm going to my FFL after work today.

It is the Guides Choice Leather Chest Holster by Diamond D Custom Leather in Alaska. Custom made for this gun and boy does it fit perfect. I highly recommend it.

See, I told you it fits like a glove!

I got it like this with the cover flap.

Thanks for this recommendation. I just bought a new Stealth Hunter (getting it out of jail tomorrow), and wanted a holster for it. Went to the Diamond D site and was disheartened to see they were quoting 8-10 weeks for this holster.

I bit the bullet and ordered it anyway, and man was I shocked when they shipped it the same day I ordered it and it arrived in SF three days later!

Super materials and workmanship. Naturally I have not tried the gun in it yet because I don't have it until tomorrow, but it's clearly molded to the Stealth Hunter shape, and I am sure it will work great. In fact I went back and ordered the Reload and the speedloader case for it. The Reload looks cool, but I will probably use the speedloader pouch instead.

Very nice! You are going to love that holster!
