    transporting ar question

Im not sure if this is the correct forum or not but I do apologies. I'm a California resident but currently working in Arizona. My question is it legal to transport my ar -15 across Stateline. I would like to take ar to AZ and shoot it. Thank you for your time.

Presuming always it is not what CA calls an 'assault weapon' (unless registered), and you do not bring any 10+ mags with you (unless you possessed them here in 1999 or earlier) back from AZ to CA, yes, you may legally take your rifle out of Ca and return with it.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Arizona has some very pleasant gun laws. I was driving around with a loaded M16 on my cars passenger seat last night with my Form 4 in the glove compartment. I doubt you will have any problems taking your AR into this state.
