My S&W Model 10 is a radar gun. That thing is like point and click. Super on point, no recoil, and is +P rated. LOVE THAT GUN!

I personally think the S&W "k" frames are the perfect shooting handgun..For your app,I would say a 4" Model 15 combat masterpiece.... I like the M14s too,but you'll almost never see on in 4" as they were very limited run guns... I dont feel the need to shoot 357s.....If I do ,I'll pull out the colt..

If you are looking for a snub nose .38 SPL, then either:

        1. Expect to shell out $$$
        2. Get one that is modified which is not worth much but still shoots OK.

A lot of folks have modified their 2-1/2 barrel snub nose for conceal carry. The value gets drastically reduced when you saw off the hammer like a lot of folks do.

One word of caution ... These older revolvers have no safety so speak of. The ones I have seen are both double and single action. Just point, pull the trigger and 'bang'!

Not the 'safest' guns in the world .... but they shoot well, and are a real pleasure to shoot!

I wanted a Smith bad, but every one I picked up aimed low. Grip angle and my hand's anatomy just weren't perfectly compatible. You want it to be instinctive, not something that takes adjustment. Colts were a little better, but I ended up with a Ruger SP101. Don't fall in love with the name before meeting the girl.
I don't shoot because I like guns, I shoot because I hate paper.

There's a mistaken impression that conservatives don't like the environment. We do, we love the environment. We just call it the outdoors and we go there to kill stuff.
