    Buying gun online help.

I was thinking about buying a gun online from someone. Whta precautions should i take when buying? What methods of payment should i use to ensure that im not going to get ripped off? Any suggestions on how not to get ripped off?

Buy from someone with a lot of feedback or references. Buy from an established business. Buy from someone where you know a friend in the area who can inspect the goods before they ship.

Don't buy if you aren't comfortable after speaking with them on the phone.

You can be ripped off with any form of payment.

If your sellers out of state have him use an FFL and send it to your FFL.

Use a payment method you can dispute like a CC.

Read this post about his out of state experience :

either works. both come from your bank, so you are pretty much covered. if they only ask for money order, run.

Why not just get a XD in 9mm? Same pistol just branded with SA's XD logo.

Use a USPS money order. If they try and rip ya you can sick the US Postal Inspector on them. Almost as bad as having the IRS on your @$$.

+1 on that. Yeah, the Postal Inspector is no joke. When they're on you you're federally fawk'd.

Intrastate fraud is a major federal rap. The various fed departments will line up to do this one. FBI, FTC, and the post office if you paid with a Postal check. I'm sure one of the local law jockeys could give you more details.
