Is there still ammo shortage? Any light?

Guys, is there any light of when the ammo shortage will be back to normal, and when prices will be back to normal?

I've given up shooting all together, and sitting on the very little stash of ammo I have. I won't pay the ridiculous prices, that's my position...

    Thanks!

Slowly ammo is showing up but still somewhat pricey. I buy all my ammo out of California where its a lot cheaper.

I've been to a few walmarts and basspro and there seems to be a TON of 5.56 and 223. Got lucky and found some more .22 stingers yesterday.

No... but the residual prices remain, even while the interent/online pricing has gotten a lot better, it's still not reasonable with supply back, and surpassing what general inflation would have done to elevate pricing since 2008 and/or since 12/2012. It's still at fabricated "panic pricing".

Same reason gasoline is more than $4.00 per gallon for 91, and yet the US has more reserves than ever before, and fracking is simply adding to those reserves and surplus. But once that price gets up there, demand or no demand, there will always be someone to whom it can be sold that needs it. You had it? You run out. You need it again.

Expendable, finite rescources on both counts.

This. Ammo is out there but the vendors are still trying to charge 40 cents or more a round (for 223 for example) for everyday / non match ammo.....

Deals pop up for .22lr at cheap prices all the time. There's a huge thread at the top of the rimfire sub-forum for it.

This, just went by there the other day, glad they had 45, 9mm and 223 stocked up and not no crazy emptiness like the panic ensued.

                        .
Hence the reason why there still is no supply at NorCal Wally Worlds!
