    Just Curious...

Has there ever been one documented case in California exhibiting the 10 day "cooling off period" has worked as intended?

I know it would be hard to track, but you would think that out of all the guns that get dros'ed everyday, for all the years this law has been implemented, there would be a t least one case someone knew of.

You would think the anti's and politicians would be crowing at how well their law was stopping all these incidences of uncontrollable rage.

Probably not, if someone that crazy to want to murder another human being im sure they wouldn't mind the 10 day waiting period, if anything it gives them more time to plan out their crime.

If someone is angry enough to murder someone, I think just the drive to the gun shop is probably to long for them. There are always alternatives.

it makes so much sense to make existing gun owners wait 10 days... because we have to cool off even though we have 25 guns at home already

This, I think, for individual acts.

              Statistically, here's a 1993 article - http://www.firearmsandliberty.com/cramer.waiting.html

I see no reason to believe the analysis would change if the data were current through 2011 or 2012.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
