    Solvent Trap Adapter?

What are the legalities of threaded barrels in CA? I assume it varies by state, but I really have no idea...

    These look pretty cool:

If threaded barrels were legal in CA I would consider buying a pistol equipped with one just so I could use this nifty product, since I'm always dribbling solvent out the end of my barrels when I clean them and making a mess on the floor.

You can have threaded barrels on a rifle with no problem. You can have threaded barrels on a pistol with a fixed magazine.

Those adapters are incredibly stupid, and I seriously doubt CGF will come to your aid if you get popped using one.

...because dripping solvent from a barrel is an epidemic problem facing gun owners. Ever heard of newspapers?

The real epidemic problem are these and the mag magnet folks who want to make a quick buck turning unwitting gun owners into felons.

One of the CGF lawyers posted earlier in the week that these should not be sold in ca.

That pesky 10 year federal felony comes to my mind.

        OP

If you are really dribbling.... Try a new method to clean

        If trolling- try glocktalk.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Yeah... "solvent trap adapter" that some nimrod is going to screw an oil filter onto and use as a suppressor and earn themselves a stint in FPYITAP.

No. Its legal in and of itself, but found with a oil filter with a hole in the wrong end of it will land you in jail.

Amen, how long did it take for bullet buttons to be legal? 2011?

All we need now is a magnet boy with a freaking oil filter on his rifle to get zapped. Saw this for the first time at a gun show at the cow palace a month ago and was like WTF. They even put the guy over in the corner with all the magnet people.

You have your answer. They are legal as a device for catching oil. I would not own one. Just asking for trouble.
