    Good deal on .223?

At Walmart (not in CA) and the sales person will sell me any amount. They have Federal 5.56 62gr XM855 for $447/1k. No tax. They have 30 boxes.

I was at the store in Rancho Cucamonga yesterday around 9:30 am, they had more ammo then that...I didn't see any 22lr but then I didn't look for it.

Is $447 per 1k a good price for Federal 62Gr XM855? No tax.

Not a bad price. No tax and no shipping gets you to the below the price that it could be currently had for online. About 8 dollars cheaper in your case if my math is correct.

Cabellas has it ON SALE for 8.99 per 20. Shipping adds 5.00 if you have their card. (8.99 X50)+5.00=455.05

They have 223 REM 55GR.FMJ/20 at regular price of 9.99.

Note that some ranges may not let you use the 855 penetrator round due to possible fire or target damage. If you want range ammo, get it from Cabellas....

Your post title says 223, the rounds you list are 556. Make sure your weapon will fire the 556. 223 will work in a 556 chamber, but you may have problems running 556 in a 223 weapon.

What's your definition of half . They have 30 boxes (30,000 rounds). The salesperson would lift the 3 box limit. I wouldn't purchase all 30 but a decent amount. That's why I was wondering if this was a decent price. His employee discount would take the price to $400. Too bad he can't do that.

Just a friendly reminder. You have a lot of time and posts here so I don't want to offend. You know this is green tip ammo (steel)

I see HOGLEG has reminded you. Sorry to dupe this.

                  At least 15 boxes of 150 .223 (69.99) @ Rancho Cucamonga walmart

About 10 boxes of the AE 100 rounds (46.00)

This is posted in the deals section. The price in Oregon???, without sales tax is a better current deal.

Not sure I would buy a truck load, as prices may fall in the near future. Current trends show the ammo supply catching up with demand on all except 22 LR. How's your luck?

No offense taken. I'm looking for any input. Especially on prices as I haven't been looking for awhile so I'm unsure of the current prices. Yes. I do know its steel core.

                    This is in Oregon.

It's not a great price, not a terrible price. You can get this same price from many sources.

We just have trouble finding places to shoot steel core.

BLM and most outdoor ranges say thumbs down.

                              $447 for 1k doesn't sound that great.

Here is 1k for $390. It's not steel core despite being wolf
