Ever been screwed by someone with a high iTrader? *Update*

I hope it's not at that point, I still have a little hope. Recently purchased and paid for a handguard 5 days ago, got a few runaround statements about where the item was actually at, and when it will be shipped. That day has come and gone, and took a few pm's to get a reply. It was said it will ship 2 days ago and again, that day came and went.

I see the seller is very active here buying and selling, and has an almost near perfect high iTrader. Most activity seems to be PMing, and in the sales forums.

This will be updated in a few days and the name of the seller will be mentioned if I don't get a refund or the item I paid for.

    *Update 10/21*
Received package today, product as advertised. Wiped my tears, had a coke and a smile. My apologies to all of you "all mighty high iTraders" and the SELLER if you took offense to this thread. Communication is key.

5 days does not seem long. How did he say he shipped it.

Have faith in the iTrader rating, some folks have much larger issues in their lives than shipping a handgurad. Obviously, its going to be a bit frustrating but just be patient. Now two weeks out, then I would start getting a little pissed.

I've had two good iTrader buyers show up ten bucks short. Funny how that happens.

Why do you need to go to a shop to ship a gun? You can ship to the buyers FFL yourself using the post office for longarms and fed ex/ups for handguns.

Yeah maybe I'm jumping the gun a little. I think the lack of communication is the part that's bugging me the most.

first time shipping a gun and better paper trail if it gets logged into the first shops book and then out so I can say I turned it over and they only charged me actual shipping. Also it would be sent FFL to FFL and I just feel safer my way so that it can't be said "i never got it" or anything like that. I always believe in CYA.

sometimes people just work on weekends or have kids and family stuff and wait til monday. There was a short time in my life when I never looked at my phone if I was not at work. and just went dead to the world on weekends and relaxed.

I can understand that. But the seller has been on here everyday since I paid for the item. Posting things for sale and PMing. A simple answer to my PMs I think is pretty fair. Kinda got the impression that I bought an item he had listed that was not in his possession. Like he had to wait for shipment to arrive before he shipped to me. Could've done that myself. However, he has contacted me after this thread was started. Says it was shipped today and will be here Monday. I'm not too worried about waiting to receive an item, its the lack of communicating and ignoring PMs and questions for days that had me a little worried.

As long as you know your not required to use an FFL to send. I've seen shops that tell people they must use the shop to ship and then charge 75$ to do it. Even when it's a warranty issue. When the gun can be shipped to the owners home.
OP, wait a couple of weeks and then see whats up. I bought a rail from a guy and pay pal the money right then. He completly forgot and over a month later I got the rail.

I've been there. When a guy sells you something I feel they have a duty to ship it immediately or get your permission to slip a few days. I've had guys slip a week. And your right, if I wanted to wait a week is order from midway.

I bought some AK parts a while back and wound up waiting a month for them. It turned out the seller was in Colorado and pretty much her whole town was underwater. Have some faith in iTrader ratings and a little patience.
