SoCal Gun open again (Convoy, San Diego)

SoCal Gun is open for business again.

    What's better:
    - Cleaner
    - Didn't recognize any of the staff
    - No lines

    What's the same:
    - High prices on guns ($600 Glocks...)
    - High prices on ammo ($625-750 for a case of 223)
    - High prices on accessories ($15 for a can of CLP, that's $8 on amazon)

Decent stock of long guns. Hardly anyone there.

HA! Don't be fooled by the "GRAND OPENING" banner hanging out front, they've been open since July or so.

Kinda' reminds me of the places that have going out of business sales every couple of months, but never actually go out of business.

There are 2 or 3 furniture stores here that are always going out of business.

I didn't think all the prices were that high. Their rifles were priced nicely and a Beretta 92fs was only slightly higher than the price I paid at Parallax.

I picked up a Plano hard case for my shotty for 30 bucks.

They did have a big stack of Chinese SKSs, still in Cosmo, for < $400. Not a great price, but for those of you who want to hand select yours it might be worth it.

There's at least three or four employees there who worked there before they closed.

They also had several Ruger MkII pistols, for those looking for a great 22.

Meh. With places like DAS and Parallax now, there's no reason to have to put up with those guys.

It seems like they are up to the same gun shop shenanigans that made the old SoCal close. They need to bring Something new to the table to shake off the stigma of that location.

Most all of them are the same from my recollection.
