We all get it, and like the commercial because it verbalizes reasonably our justification.


An anti, upon seeing this, within the first few minutes, thinks, "my god, they are trying to advertise guns as good"!

"I can't believe they can even get away with talking about killing machines and justifying them as a good thing".


Etc. they have their set thoughts and upon seeing the argument for, they immediately raise their defenses and want to argue.


I do think this commercial has it's place, for certain folks on the cusp of possibly thinking guns are exactly as they are, safe, have a purpose and don't buy into the news selling news.

Others are just convinced guns are bad. They cannot be swayed by a commercial, but need to associate with someone they never know owned guns and likes as a decent person.


That person, then needs to reach out and show them, a gun is just a thing, and object. The good/bad lies in it's use and by the user.
