Met a fellow pistol competitor who's using HiTek coated lead bullets. Internet and YouTube videos looks pretty interesting. The material is wet coated onto the lead bullets then baked for about 10 minutes, results shows a coating more durable and potentially better lubricity than FMJ. Better barrel preservation than moly coats.
Cerakote seems to have similar properties but I'm not sure off it's surface lubricity index. I have several bottles Cerakotes that I'm not using. Any thoughts about using Cerakote to enamel coat lead cast bullets?
