    WalMart Ammo

I went to WM last night and they had some Tula 7.62x39. I bought three and had my daughter get three. I went to pay for my daughters "purchase" To have the clerk tell me that it is illegal for her to buy the ammo for me. She has to tell her the caliber, and she has to hand her the money. lol.

I said, "What???". She said it is a federal law, third party... I told her that is WM's rule about 3 boxes per person, not federal. I said she is 18, she can buy whatever I ask her to. I was going to pay with my debit card, but the cashier refused.

Make your purchase. Get cash back. Give cash to daughter. Problem solved.

Some WM clerks get their panties in a bunch over this when my wife and I both try to purchase ammo. They assume that she is buying it for me when in fact she has her own guns.

It's just a power trip for some of those minimum wage wally world employees so they can feel better about themselves.

My parents do this all the time, some Walmart employees make them use different debit cards. The Walmart employees are only doing what there manager tells them. Try to keep that in mind even if they are spreading FUD.

i buy walmart ammo all the time/up to 7 times a week. they are within their rights to ask for id and also to not let you put more than one purchase on the same card. if you feel they are doing wrong then demand a manager come to the counter. and if that doesnt satisfy you work your way up to the store manager.

You have to realize I have no problem with the limits, don't like them, but it is their store.

But I just thought it was funny stating federal law prevent purchase of more than 3 boxes per person.

Rules are rules, but don't make up non existant laws, trying to justify whatever.

Weird thing I've noticed before the ammo scarcity only certain Walmarts in San Diego sold ammo, Now they all do. Pretty sure they know it is a draw and people will visit the ones with ammo more frequently than those without.

We all know they have a three box limit and that is their right. However I was talking to a clerk a few weeks ago and he said the computer won't allow more than 3 boxes per transaction. I had no reason to question it and went on my way.

Fast forward to yesterday, I go in, select my three, pay and leave. Later at home, I check my receipt and see I was charged for 4 boxes. I go back to the store knowing it will be a struggle and get passed around up the chain getting a mouthful of bad information.

One says you can only get two, be glad you got four. (Only left with 3)
The other says no return on ammo (not trying, just want credit)
The other one says three is the limit, State Law. (I just bit my tongue)
Then all three discuss the various bills that were vetoed and messed that all up.

I've seen couples buying ammo together and heard the clerks say multiple lies.
Can't use same card for two ammo transactions even if different people.
Can't be together, or that is family in the same visit
                              and other crazy stuff.

Amazes me what people spread around.
