just curious why do people think it is cool or "tactical" to have a blood type patch? You realize if you are in the field and shot they give you plasma right? you only get blood at the hospital long after the fact and seeing how a hospital usually functions by a set of guidelines i think they are going to test your blood type for themselves rather then just go by some patch....that is if your vest isnt long gone by then

For the same reason that people put "NOS" stickers on their 1994 Toyota Corollas. It's pointless though. Everyone knows that O+ is the most tactical blood type.

Many people dont know their blood type off the top of their head. Also this can help medics if you are the casualty and cant talk. When I was in the military we had someone in my group shot. They muster everyone immediately with the same blood type for blood donations in case a transfusion is needed.

I always put the wrong blood type patch in my tactical vests, I believe on misdirecting my enemies, especially when practicing a dynamic entry into the ladies' restroom.
