My favorite BLM spot is double shut down!

If any of you are familiar with the BLM shooting spot off of French Flat road in Jamestown I have some bad news for you.


Not only is it shut down because of the govt. shutdown, it looks like a no shooting sign has been posted as well.

I can't say I'm surprised though. A lot of the jackhats that went there never cleaned up after themselves and the place was a mess. This is what happens when we don't clean up our shooting sites.

Some friends and I would go every couple of months for a range clean up day but we couldn't keep up.

I'm so disappointed that this place is shut down. Took my boy there today for some shooting and we had to turn around and come right back. Looking over a gate into forest land that the govt. says I can't go on to because they want to make some stupid statement is a very frustrating feeling.

Fri*KEN slobs I just came back from the range on another section of BLM Tehama co the pigs have left trash everywhere. going back later w/trash containers I'll never get it all.

And we'll probably loss this one too.

People just don't think it'll happen at their range. But you've got proof right there.

Hmmm, I was planning on shooting on some BLM land in AZ this weekend. I have never seen a ranger out there, so hopefully I won't find the same thing.

Thats what I was wondering. Im not sure why they think I need them there. In all the times ive been there I havent once seen a ranger.

The BLM web site is closed too it seems. I was curious and wanted to find out more so I tried visiting their site, got this message:

I understand park rangers have been instructed to "make the shutdown as painful as possible to the public".

No shooting sign? Clearly that sign is telling you that you can't practice carrying a tray of drinks or plates of food for your job as a waiter. It's obviously a waiter with his arm up practicing balancing one of those big trays.
