ya no luck on the camera having some information. .. just tell as many folks that you can.

If it's a high end camera perhaps the registration/warranty card was sent to manufacturer when he purchased it. Might be a long shot but perhaps contacting the manufacturer may help?

If they were calgunners perhaps post in the original thread?

I was with a larg group shooting near Hogan Lake. Two random good shooter's showed names unknown. How ever I do know one guy is from Stockton, the other was from Yosemite. The gentleman from Yosemite left a camera I would like to return it. It is an expensive piece and im sure it is missed ... help... PM ME !!! ... answer questions in email. .. will return easily to said friend in Stockton.

A lost and found subforum is a great idea! Calgunners are such a tightknit group that it'd probably solve a lot of headaches and provide many sighs of relief (I know I just had a huge one!)

Thanks to everybody that populated the thread, it made it pop up in the search far more, I'd not have found it in the sea of "I suck with my camera" and "I only have a camera phone" posts.
