Brands like Noveske, in my opinion, are a tool and need to be used either for LEO or competition purposes. It just kills me when guys build these insane AR, never shoot them and try and get 90% of retail back. Same goes for high dollar 1911s. If I'm spending $3,000 on a 1911 I better be shooting it in local competitions. A $700 1911 and custom STI all shoot the same while sitting in a safe.
I'll buy a noveske and use it as a doorstop if I want, whether you like it or not. It just kills me when guys like you can't mind your own business and want to pretend that the money someone else earned and then spent and they pleased is of any concern to you.

                Two things come to mind:
                1. Because I can!
                2. Don't have the urge to shoot anyone, so that's leaves punching holes in paper.

But I just spent close to $3000 on my dream gun! I have wanted this type of gun for years and finally threw down. Its a 12.2lbs single shot rifle. C-Sharps 1874 Sharps in 45-70 with a 32 inch heavy barrel. I really don't see myself hunting with it, so it's a paper puncher. I might bang some steel with it though.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

I know a few people waiting for the Zombie Apocalypse, so to them it's a paper puncher only for now and more money spent is worth it.

Why spend $30k on a brand new car when you can drive a beater for $3k? Because people WANT too.

At least firearms hold their value unlike most other material things that depreciate at alarming rates.

                        1. I don't have to justify to you how I spend the money I earned.

                        2. You don't have to "get it."

This thread's gonna go awhile. Lines of the same answer... "Because I can."

Move along. Nothing to see here.

                              This is just weird.

Punching paper is where you need the high dollar rifle.

I have definitely experienced quality creep as I've been into guns longer. I first had a Stag AR upper on a home build lower... now I wouldn't shoot that for free. It is what it is, buy the best you can afford, and then learn how to use it the best you can.
