Talon Grip tape

I am thinking of cutting the Tupdatedalon rubberized grip tape and only putting it on the backstrap. any thoughts? My intent is to avoid the rubbing issues on my side as I carry IWB against my skin.

The only concern I would have is not having enough material on the gun to adhere properly. I can see you not wanting the rubber against your skin. If you got another IWB holster like a Comtac Minatauer or Crossnreed, you would have leather against you.
