    No collection is complete without...

As the end of the year fast approaches, and things like long gun registration, as well as the other nefarious laws, I'm planning on rounding out my collection before 2014 accordingly. Handgun laws really won't be changed all that much, unless the SSE goes away. So that's a concern.

Don't need a long list, and I'm pretty well off as far as my collection goes. I just know there's probably one or two things I will need and I'm wondering what others think.

We all have our dream list, but that's not an essentials list. What's essential to every collection??

    thanks

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

      Good stuff here

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

          I need an M1A, A lever action in 44MAG, VEPR 12, SGL-31, and that's all I can think of.

I'll probably buy a couple stripped lowers too.

What I think is possible to do before the year ends is get the SGL-31 and the VEPR 12

Should have just left your TITLE

            NO COLLECTION IS COMPLETE

Not sure that there will ever be and end where I can say I've arrived.

Moving to Az. next Summer so things will certainly ramp up when I get there.

Being an older Gent lever actions are really starting to look fashionable.

.357 & 44mag come to mind as do pistol carbines.

Lever action paired with a revolver for sure! My next purchase will either be a .357 lever action or a 1911.

                Missing the obvious

I can't believe no one listed the most essential gun for any collection: An M1 Garand.

Whatever it is that interests YOU.
                    Not what someone else wants.
Example I have no desire to have any lever action. I hate them and it IS a personal thing. So that would not be on my list. Another is matching rifle/pistol cartridge firearms. I did that and decided I did not like it so sold the rifle. "I" have no desire for a bolt action 22RF but have several semi-auto 22RF.

So you can see that you should buy what YOU like not what others like.

I'd say that while .357 is cheaper than .45 Colt, an SAA in .45 balances better than the 357.

I didn't have too much interest in a lever action when I bought my S&W 686+ in .357. Now, I really want a LA, but don't want to add a new caliber if I can help it, so .357 it will be for me...at least for the first one!

Since the ban would be on what CA will consider AW's I would concentrate on those rifles that will no longer be available anymore. I'll be vague and you pick your favorite flavor when it comes to model and caliber-

                            AK
                            AR
                            Semi auto shotgun W/detachable mag
                            Semi auto battle rifle in 308, 30-06, 7.62 x 54r etc.
May those that love us, love us.
And those that don't love us,
                            May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
                            May He turn their ankles
So we will know them by their limping.
