Ok, so I'm about to spend about $1000 at jp enterprises for a barrel, matching bolt with low mass carrier and thier buffer and spring. Mind you this is for a dpms 308. Would like and opinion to talk me out of this or give me a slap on the back and go for it. Anyone ever use thier gear? They're claiming sub moa after 40, 000 rounds out of thier cryogenicaly treated stainless.

Scrap the low mass idea, I'm going full mass."Sometimes you just need to exercise your rights. Whether the government wants you to or not" - The 10th Amendment Center

I say go for it. I built a JP rifle sans receivers this same way. Installed a full mass carrier then tried the low mass. I say go low mass for less recoil. System worked like a charm for me. I have a couple of thousand rounds on the rifle without any hic-ups.Talked to JP about it before I made the jump. One thing I can say is that you will find their parts better finished than just about anyone else on the market from the polished feed ramps to the carrier that is burnished SS. I sold a few rifles just to finance this one. It was totally worth it.Comment

I did alot of research on them as far as quality control, customer service and obviously what goes in to making their products. I say hop on it and don't look back. If I had the Jack, I would order with you to save on shipping..lolKnives don't stab people, cars don't drive drunk, eating utensils don't make you fat and pencils don't mis-spell words.Comment

JP makes great stuff. Low mass BCG is for an adjustable gas block...you turn down the gas back to the BCG so that recoil is minimal to cycle the rifle.

Been doing business with Jp for 10 years, they are excellent. Among the elite companies that can go outside of mill-spec and actually gain something.
Check out their quiet buffer spring, its the single best thing I ever did to any AR. No more TAWNG in your skull! Completely eliminated the annoying noise.Originally posted by doggieSomeone must put an end to this endless bickering by posting the unadulterated indisputable facts and truth."The California matrix of gun control laws is among the harshest in the nation and are filled with criminal law traps for people of common intelligence who desire to obey the law." - U.S. District Judge Roger T. I have been using their barrel and low mass carrier. Great products.
Very accurate. I have gotten a .770" group at 300 yard with Black Hills 5.56, 77Gr. Mk262. 18" barrel, 1/8 twist. Lot of 3 gun shooters I know run JP. The best value for the money. If you can't shoot good, at least look good shootingComment
