I use Tapco 10 rounders in my 74s. No problems ever, and if they need minor fitting it is easy. That said, Russian and Bulgarian mags are superior, although they too sometimes require minor fitting. It is easier and cheaper and less risky to modify magazines to fit your gun than to modify your gun if you make a mistake and take too much material off.

The tapco mags i have for my 74 are great. I have 5 and all feed properly. I did a little bit of filing and the work perfect. They fit much snuger that my bulgy or east German mags

They're fine for range fodder, but nothing more.
As stated earlier, the only really quality, performing piece Tapco makes is the G2 trigger.

If it is fine at the range then why is it range only?

If it does not work at the range , it should be in the dumpster.
