    Out of state transfer/importation.

I was looking to buy a M70 AK. I haven't imported a rifle since 2009, when it was relatively affordable to do so. Used to be 50-60$.

I've been calling FFL's in the San Diego area, their all telling me it's 100+ now Iron sight shooting range, told me it's due to new legislation with tax increases.

I called a FFL, and they flat out refused do it because I wasn't intersted in their used WSAR AK. " We don't do transfers"

    What gives?

Obviously, they're trying to make it cost prohibitive for you to import a rifle, so you buy one of theirs. Go on grabagun and do an FFL search, should populate some local home based FFL's who aren't in the business of trying to sell rifles, but rather in the business of importing them into this foreign country we call California

thanks for the link, I found one in my area. Little bit better 74$+ CA tax. They seem eager and friendly
