A guy shot a 5 shot 2.85" group today to take the win.
Holy crap! a 5 shot group under 3" at 1000 yards!
I'm stunned... that's some amazing shooting and incredible consistency in sight picture. Wow.

Targets, targets, we don't got to show you no stinkin' targets!

That is increadibly amazing to me! I've shot quite a bit at up to 600 yards, and find a group under 3" at 1000 to be almost unbelievable.

We need specifics. What caliber, brl length, scope power, etc, were they using.

Gee, I guess my 3" groups at 100 yds. aren't that big of a deal.

I too, would love to know the winner's "set up".

              That is some shooting !!!!!

I am curious about scope power setting for such an distance.

I can only imagine how small the targets look at that distance even through the scope.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

                    That's under .3 moa.

I, for one, am curious about his set up but, I know that the equipment he used is only a small part of that kind of accuracy. He also has to have great skill at loading his ammo, reading conditions and pulling the trigger, as well as, a great bit of luck.

Are those static targets? or, are there pits out there?

Now I'm really impressed. I know of less than half a dozen confirmed < .3moa groups shot with 50s. But, those were not shot at static targets. Static targets are easier (not easy though) to shoot small groups because the shooter never has to wait for the puller to mark the target. Any time one is waiting for their target to come back up is time more time for conditions to change. Of course, shooting < .3moa, 5 shot groups at 1000 yards is no small feat with any gun at any type of target. Someday I hope to get 5 flyers in a row to group that well.

                            That's a very nice range.
Not too many places down here with that much flat a space to layout a range on.
