    Shipping firearms / ammunition

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I need to ship ammunition and firearms to another state for a hunting trip.

Can anyone point me to a resource on how I can ship these economically?

ammo must go ups or fedex ground. Firearm is supposed to go to ffl unless you are shipping to yourself or repair facility.

If you are flying, I'd get a nice travel case and take everything with you. Other than that, the above post is correct that you ship the guns to yourself and then take your ammo with you in your checked luggage.
You may not like guns, and choose not to own one. That is your right. You might not believe in God. That is your choice. However, if someone breaks into your home, the first two things you're going to do are, 1) Call someone with a gun, 2) Pray they get there in time.

You can transport ammunition in checked luggage?

Anyone have any idea how expensive it is to ship ammunition cia ups or fedex ground?

Yes you can transport ammo in checked locked baggage. Must be in factory boxes or containers designed to house ammo or in mags. Check with ups or fedex for rates and with your airlines for ammo transporting. I put my ammo in my personal locked hard gun case. Do not use tsa locks for firearm case. I fly several times a year with firearms.
