SB568 prohibits marketing BB guns to children, however many local cities classify Airsoft as BB guns: (8) BB device, as referenced in Sections 16250 and 19910 of the Penal Code.
As a pseudo-adult, I think Airsoft is mostly marketed to children, even though adults have them.
