Looking for an OLL-related PDF

I THOUGHT I saw this PDF linked to from somewhere on the calguns forum once. It was quite a while back though.

Basically, it was a single page that said something to the effect of "STOP! Law Enforcement, this is NOT an assault weapon", and then briefly stated why it was not an AW, and had something to the effect of "do not try to remove the magazine, it is permanently affixed and you may ruin the gun or be responsible for creating a felony situation for yourself."

These are about all the details I remember, and even they are fuzzy.

Basically, I wanted to print up a couple of these in small form, laminate them, and keep them with my OLL's at the range

I'm not sure who the original author is (Heatseeker?) but it might help to have them linked for download somewhere.

(The flowchart is certainly nice, and it's going into my folder of saved OLL-related PDF's, but I prefer the simple "warning" notice of these ones)

I certainly see and respect your point. But... Speaking for myself only, the notice looks like every other manual page in a modern firearms manual/safety guidebook. That's why I like this style notice.

I can sort of see it being taken in a negative light, but I feel that there should be strong wording (like a safety manual) so as to remove all doubt that the firearm in question is actually a legal configuration.


P.S. I hate the fact that I have to be an activist to enjoy most of my hobbies. Not just shooting. The fact that we're even having this conversation means that the system is screwed up. Even as a shutterbug, I keep a copy of my photographers rights with me at all times.

I did not author those memos.

I found them through this site, maybe on hoffmang's site? I really don't remember, but I'm certainly appreciative of the original author(s). I just packed one(along with the flow chart) in my rifle case with my OLL in preperation for a camping trip this weekend.

I did that one, actually there are a couple versions, fixed mag and featureless, and will try to get a generic version up that can be downloaded in a day or two.

As for the tone, that is to cover MY butt when LEO doesn't want to listen to reason and starts banging away at the magazine or whatever. In court I at least can show that I had given them the soop before they went off the deep end and manufactured an AW. They are either going to listen to reason from the get go, or you are going to settle it the hard & $$ way. If they have been warned and do their thing anyway, I figure my lawyer can make them explain their actions.
