    NRA called me last night....

... and I had a very interesting conversation. It was for donations to fight the UN ATT crap but before the nice lady could get foot hold on the "script" I politely cut her off and began her lesson on why I am upset with the NRA. I went into great detail on the bills being presented to Gov Brown and after about 15 minutes she was quite stunned. She had no idea it was this bad here in Cali and agreed with me that yes, the NRA NEED's to focus here for a while... I guess it does not surprise me that our politics don't make national news but some of these bills could wind up putting a visitor in jail for simply not knowing about our crazy assed laws. We need to get the word out to other states. Have folks from out of state call Brown and tell him they will never visit Cali knowing these laws are in place.. Cripple the tourist dollar and starve the beast that is Sac.

I got the same call today. I mentioned I was in cali and we had some additional issues that could use their focus as well.

Interesting. I've never received a call from the NRA. I'd prefer a live person over the snail mail any day.

I have believed for years that the NRA has no material presence in CA. It's as if they gave up years ago.
It doesn't matter how scary, ugly, uncomfortable, or inconvenient self defense can be. Like it or not, you will never, ever be relieved of your duty and responsibility to defend your life, your family, your country and your freedom.

How much ammo do I need? Enough to last me the rest of my life, and then lot more for later.

The government does not come knocking at your door. It comes knocking down your door.

I had the same phone call few days ago. I said the same thing about our state and that we need more help but the NRA caller kept reading the script...

                    SAF for me

The Second Amendment Foundation called me to ask for a donation to stop the UN signing. I told them that this month, my efforts and my money is focused on California and those horrible bills. He agreed that we have it rough right now and asked to keep them in mind in the future.
                    Please, join the NRA.

Same here. I told the solicitor that I was worried about California bills and she was worried that I was going to miss out on a free skinning knife. I am a strong supporter of the NRA but this was a low point in my experience dealing with them. They should be calling about or helping with issues in this state, rather than being worried about me donating to a cause that is already dead by the senate. I guess I don't get my free gift.....
