    Cal expo gun show

Well the show was a joke. Did not find anything that was close to a deal. Only one booth selling reloading powder and Primers. Tons of uppers and 22lr was going for between 50&88 dollars per 500. If you ask me it was a giant waste of 30$ . If your wondering they had tons of ammo @ gun show panic prices and a 2 hour wait line.

The Miwall line was maybe a 20min wait and the ammo prices weren't too over the top. I picked up some 55gr reload .223 for 99.95 / 250rds, .17HMR 20gr CCI per 50 for $9.99a box and some WWB 100 rd value pack .45 for 43.95.
I will agree on the 22lr being pricy tho....
Luckily I stocked up on powder and primers earlier in the week, cuz there wasn't chit there.
I think the rain has kept some people away because the crowds weren't too gnarly.
      I was there from 11am to 1:30pm

all the prices are so high because its a gun SHOW not a gun sale. i havent gotten a good deal at a show in a few years now.its almost a waste of time.

thanks for this post. it saved me 15 bucks.

40 cents for 223 reloads is very decent

That bad? Was it better than the show a few months ago? Last time, they had .40 reloads at $205/500. I hope it is cheaper this time around.

They had some bulk reloaded ammo that was a good price. The place that was doing 20% discount + free shipping had real inexpensive reloads. But I didn't want anything I had to wait 3 weeks for.

Most everything else was at 150-200%+ MSRP.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking of going to the show, but after reading this I guess I will save my $15.00 and buy something else on the classifieds. The last show I went to was the BIG RENO GUN SHOW. Same experience as noted above. Magpul Mags were $60.00 each and so on. Way overpriced.

I've given up on gunshows in California, period. I might hit the Reno gun show, but I doubt it.

I went to the Calexpo show last year and it was a joke. Only about 12 tables there. They had a dog show next door in the same building. I do go to the Vallejo gun show and there is a decent turn out. First time I saw a crate of Mosin 91/30's for sale since the panic. All for $139each. Stocks were great shape with cosmo. No lines at Milwall whatsoever. Plenty of ammo. $10park/$10entry. I go back on Sundays sometime to quibble over something I wasn't able to get the previous day.
Went to the Cow Palace show Sunday and hardly any lines at the Milwall booth there. I did get my salami at the Vallejo show!
