    Someone school me in ak's

Hello all, I'm looking to purchase an ak 47, but want to know what should I be looking for as in quality, brands, overall experiences? Thanks in advance

I dont have one. Yet, but from what I researched, build your own if possible. Its more personal and you picked the parts. Milled receiver, not stamped. Chrome lined barrels.

Even though I own a good one, stay away from Inter Ordnance. Century has a bad rap too. I have gathered parts for a Romy G build, and it's cost WAY more than the $500 I paid for my IO CASAR.

After quite a bit of research I am buying a zastava o-pap from atlantic.
For a variety of reasons it is my choice
Heavier duty receiver. Dbl stack mag capable, and quite a good reputation.
That said, spending a bit of time on the AK Files should help more than the input here.
          Good luck!

Depends on your use case. For me it is one option for cheap plinking so I got a cheap m+m m10 for $600 and couldn't be happier. Get 762 don't waste your time with 545

All i got to say is not all AK are equal. I like Arsenal because they are 100% new and the parts are original. Not like some other brands where some parts are from different AKs. Here's good video on choosing one.

Here's another way at looking at the detail quality of AKs. Again, not all aks are equal! The devil is in the detail.
