    Gun shops stocking up?

I keep tabs on most of the shops near me (reeds indoor range, metal dog tactical, alquist arms, mil spec armory). There seems to be a spike in black guns on the walls, more so than I have seen since pre sandy hook.

I'm thinking they are stocking up for the oct 13 gov brown SB 374 rush to the shelves. Anyone else notice?

Yeah, I noticed the same thing..

Example, Cordova Shooting post their prices here and update roughly every 2 weeks.

Spec an AR-15 from lower to optic. Real-time compatibility checks, live retailer pricing, save-and-share builds. Free tools, honest tier rankings, 50-state legal data.

I noticed that their M&P prices have jumped $200 bucks. Their ORC was selling for 899 a while back, Sig Patrol rifles were $1300ish.

personally,I think its rude to **** over your customers. it squeaks of opportunism, without vision. Who will support you when the world goes back to normal, and everyone wakes up to the fact that they have been screwed over? (rhetorical question)

I don't get it. First, the LGS take a hit because they're low on Black Gun availability. Second, they get female breeding K-9ed at for having what the customers ask for.

I know, I know, and now you expect a discount. And a smile. Yah-right. Sure thing.

Because after the first panic they double ordered everything and since everything slowed down that's why we're seeing so many of them. Even after Oct 13th we will not see a panic because the problem is here in California and a lot of people already purchased everything they needed after the first panic. The only thing I'll see is after Oct. 13th gun stores easing prices by 15-30% just make that last buck of off everyone. Here is my plane and what I'm going to do if the bill passes:

            Register 1 Ar15
Move 2 away from here or Barry them in my backboard lol

            Register 1 Ak47
            Move 1 Ak47

Try to by 2 SSE guns, a Glock Gen 4 (17,19,21 or 23) and a 1911 of some sort. I would love to own a ACR, SCAR, KRISS or an H&K USC but to expensive can't afford it. I'm been wanting a H&K USC for some time time I just don't see myself paying $2100 for a carbine that was $1200 a year and half ago.

I don't think it's a "stocking up". Everything they have received during this panic was sold so darn fast the manufacturers couldn't keep up. If the painc continues and I believe it will what they have is all they will get because the manufacturers can't produce them fast enough.

That's just my opinion and not based upon any facts.

However I bet you that you will see a sharp price impact of gouging by sellers here on Calguns again!!!

It's not called stocking up, it's called finally getting in all the Backorders.

^^^ This. Supply lines got drained to the bone with the big Sandy Hook rush following the Obama election rush, following the Long Gun Registration Act rush... combined with tax return checks... caused a perfect storm.
LGS's have had orders in to get anything they possibly could for the last year. Only now is supply finally catching up to demand.

Don't expect to see it for very long. Based on the steady stream of stupidity flowing out of Sack-of-mentos, I'm expecting to see another big rush.
If you're thinking of buying an EBR, or anything for that matter, do it sooner rather than later.

As for gougers.. keep in mind that the brick and mortar shops only realize any profit when they move items. During the long drought, they couldn't get items to move, and had to charge more for each item to keep the doors open. It's not so much an evil conspiracy, more just economics.

With all the manufacturers cranking out so much product as fast as they can, what are the chances that the quality goes down?

All the stores around me are full. I think like many of you the supply caught back up and everyone already grabbed what they wanted.

With that said my prediction is the walls will be bare again. Panic part 2! We are getting zero media coverage on this down here in LA (well at least I've seen nothing on TV about it) but you can sure as hell bet the nightly news will be running it non-stop if this crap becomes law. I can hear it now "Gov Brown signed or ignored a ton of gun bills that are now law!"

Have your Coleman tent ready for the LGS stakeout.

I sold my ARs don't see a need to replace them. What for? Instead of buying more guns donate $$$ and or time to pro second amendment organizations so you can keep the guns you now own.

California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

Yea. We will see. In still seeing bad ammo prices at all LGS, about 10 cents a round above what I can get on gunbot shipped

I agree, local retail is higher then the online stuff. Will only buy retail if I really need it otherwise I'll just pass on it.
