I got bored today at work since there was nothing to do after I finished my delivery route, so I decided I'd make myself a 5 rifle rack since my rifles have just been leaning up against the walls. All it cost me was half an hour of my time and $8 for some wood glue and wood trim for the bottom to keep the rifle butts from kicking out. I even made a swing-out bar to keep the rifles from falling out in the event of an earthquake. The wood is finished with a maple colored stain/sealant.
I've yet to make a locking system for the swing-out bar, so if any of you have any suggestions I'm all ears. It'd have to go over the top of the boards since it's literally the PERFECT width for where it's at and there's no more room on the sides to get around it.
