As in the reloading press maker right?

I've been to his place a couple of times for stuff - but not in a while. I've seen him at Angeles Ranges a few times, very helpful, and he has a stage set up on his track tailgate to do reloading right off of it.

Hope he's alright. He's no spring chicken.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

        NEW STORY ON IT:

Firefighters say live ammunition began exploding as they battled a fire at a Los Angeles business that left the owner in serious condition.
Main says the 86-year-old business owner was burned.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Did they ever see the information about ammo in a fire. Spray paint cans cause more damage than hot ammo.

Yea but being a Hollywood supplier I bet there was a metric ****ton of powder primers and other flash explosives. I would not want to be around that stuff.

The last time I was in his shop Joe had a ton of bridgeport machines and lot of specialty parts, dies, micrometers and other items from his catalog.

I did not see ammo or other such items.... but my last visit was in 1994 or 1995...

I do not think he makes the Hollywood press any longer... so maybe he had other supplies on hand....

The old hollywood gun shop -- press's, dies, swaging tools, and other reloading tooling was/is owned by Lyle Cocoran -
I was under the impression he had sold out --

Update - Joe is recovering and when I met with him, only saw his forearms in bandages. He apparently lost everything in the fire. I can't give out any other information.
With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

I can't imagine he lost "eveything" - I bet with much of the tooling and parts having been thick hardened steel or cast-iron, the fire would not have had much effect on those; yet, it's possible the fire-department let stuff burn and burn if they thought live ammo or powder was going off as was reported.

I hope he gets back on his feet; I have one of his older single-stage presses specific for .50BMG. One of the best-made presses - ever.

Fire makes steel brittle, especially when it gets rapidly cooled by fire hoses.

When your house and business both burn down and you're selling burned/destroyed items to buy basic clothing, I'd say it was bad.
