    Coming back...

Due to a change in employment, I'm headed back into the mouth of the beast. All the nifty things I've purchased will have to go bye-bye for a while and I will be without a long gun because of it. So I want to run a few things by you all as a sanity check.

With the impending legislation, I want to get a lever gun as my long gun. I am assuming this will be kosher for the time being. To fund this gun, I will have to thin the herd of what I currently have.

I have a "off the list" upper/lower combo that has never had a buffer tube installed on it, thus leaving it up in the air as to whether or not it is a pistol or rifle. I want to sell this, once I get to CA to fund the lever gun purchase. Would it be more "helpful" to register and then sell it to a CA purchaser as a pistol or rifle? I know there is a lot of dancing that one has to do to get a AR pistol, and someone moving into state with one is one of the ways.

    Suggestions and comments?

Mite be a lot less hassle to sale it there if your not keeping it.

But to bring it into Cali. you'll have to prolly neuter before shipping, then off to FFL I'm pretty sure the back rifle is only a go through FFL

I'm sure others will chime in w/better answer than I...

    Good luck in Kommifonia...

You'll probably save money by buying the lever rifle before returning to CA too. I have only made a few C&R purchases while travelling in CA because the prices there are generally higher ( sometimes quite a bit ).
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.
