This is def not legal in CA

New rifle mimics machine gun's rapid fire -- and it's legal
"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke speech of 23 April 1770, "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents," delivered to the House of Commons.

Well I'd say no one wants to be a test case for an interpretation of an unclear law. As I read the law it wouldn't be illegal but real lawyers have said it's a definite no go.
    12020 PC.
    (a) Any person in this state who does any of the following is punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not
exceeding one year or in the state prison:
    (1) Manufactures or causes to be manufactured, imports into the state, keeps for sale, or offers or
exposes for sale, or who gives, lends, or possesses any ... {snip}..., any multiburst trigger activator,
    ...{snip}....

    (c)
    (23) As used in this section, a "multiburst trigger activator" means one of the following devices:
    (A) A device designed or redesigned to be attached to a semiautomatic firearm which allows the
firearm to discharge two or more shots in a burst by activating the device.
How is a piece of plastic, the slidefire stock, "activated"?

    (B) A manual or power-driven trigger activating device constructed and designed so that when
attached to a semiautomatic firearm it increases the rate of fire of that firearm.
How is the slidefire stock a "trigger activating device"? The slidefire never touches the trigger, your finger does.

How does the slidefire "increase the rate of fire"? The rate of fire on a semi auto is what exactly? The speed at which you can activate the trigger with your finger? So a clumsy guys rate of fire is 60 rpm and a dexterous guys is 360 rpm?

You do realize that this video presented by CNN Money is a concerted effort by the network to instigate a legislative response ALA the CBS video on the Bullet Button and Leland Yee, right?

Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim -- when he defends himself -- as a criminal. Bastiat

Love that they are explaining the parts of an "AR15" while showing graphics of an AK.

There's a mistaken impression that conservatives don't like the environment. We do, we love the environment. We just call it the outdoors and we go there to kill stuff.

Just thinking about this in California is enough to cause you trouble.
