even better you should be able to buy about 3 of the 10/30 mags with the money you saved

Things are about to get real serious around here. Glad you got one now.
Which is why I bought it. I'm not a big "panic buyer" but I feel in my gut prices and availability will be going up very soon. I had to get it while I could still afford it.

Long guns are not registered until next year. And unless your son is 18 he cannot register an assault weapon.

          Solid shooter..

And let's not go all "doom and gloom" until A: the Gov signs it and B: it isn't defeated in court

If signed registration goes until 2015.. and that's a LONG time for things to change.

Yup, so it is impossible for said-son to comply with an UnConstitutional law... for this legally owned rifle.

I believe that if it went to court, it would set legal precedent.

just like yours, mine didn't come with the dust cover, or the forward assist, but, I think for non-military use, they are a non-issue...bought it at Turner's in Norwalk, a little over $900.00 out the door...I didn't think prices were going to drop too much more than that, so I went ahead and bought it

been stocking up on the ammo too, right about 1200 rounds I've bought...still hard to find the good deals, it goes quickly

anyway, good deal, Travis, get yourself a couple of 10/30 mags to slap on it, I've never liked that generic looking 10 round mag they come with
They work but are low end . low end metal alloys etc you are getting what you paid for.

I just might make that happen. I'm moving all of my rifles out of CA jurisdiction if this becomes law but have been thinking about registering my sons lower in his name. Hopefully this is a case that CGF would be willing to take.

Does the M&P Sport have a chrome-lined barrel?

I was under the impression that we do have to register the one's we currently own by July, 2015...either way, it's no problem, my son is already 24, the M&P is in him name already, we take it together when we go out and shoot...I still think it was the best way to keep the firearm in the family for as long as possible, at least until we can get some court relief on it

It was also my understand, that if that M&P was in my name, there would have been no way to pass it down, once these laws go into affect

maybe we folks who are buying them are just low end kind of people ...I see a lot of them floating around out there, getting plenty of use, so, I'll keep my happy face on with my purchase

FUD, they use 7075, same as Colts, but we all know how those Colts suck right? . The barrels are melonite coated, which is just as good if not better than chrome lined. Don't hate just because we paid half as much as you did for your AR and it functions just the same.
