    NRA membership discounts?

Any idea of when the $300 lifetime membership will be back? Also, when they have that deal, do they also discount lifetime junior memberships? $2,550 seems fairly extreme for a family of 3. I would gladly pay $1,000 or less for all 3.

I have 2 friends and their kids who have recently expressed much interest in protecting gun rights and exercising their freedoms. My girlfriend and I met them a year or so back, and we've become fairly good friends. They are the, "Democratic type," I guess you could say, but despise Obama and have supposedly been against his BS since day 1. They weren't very interested in the idea of firearms and their dangers when we met them. We've gone shooting and discovered they're both great shooters who are very comfortable to be around due to their safety oriented mindset.

They've made some purchases this year, and when they learned about our issues in the bay area with obtaining a CCW for personal protection, he basically blew a gasket. (Who knew you could be so oblivious to the world around you?) I would like to get them lifetime memberships to fuel the fire and hope they get active, politically. Maybe I'll even convince him to become a member here. They are very interactive people who are the type to volunteer half of their weekends to any cause they believe in.

    I know, cool story.

      Just PM'ed him.

I guess I should just upgrade mine as well, since I'm not broke anymore. NRA will love the donations.

OK! The NRA, not NPR, got my funds this time.
