    Ammo supplies and prices...

I walked thru the crossroads of the west gunshow in phoenix this last weekend ...bummed I had to fly home...without any ammo.

Prices for NEW Winchester and Federal FMJ target rounds, in sealed 1/2 cases, had 9mm and .40 averaging .30 to .34 per round!! Lots of unsold cases of ammo on the palets at then end of the first day.

    Reloads were even cheaper!!!

Everyone who bought and hoarded ammo on speculation and is still holding it will probably take a bath on it if they wait to sell much longer...LOL

I was at Reed's Indoor Range on Sunday, they have a lot ammo sitting on the floor in the store area. Boxes and boxes of all sorts of ammo. I think supplies are easing up very quickly.

I'm also seeing my favorite online ammo vendor, Freedom Munitions, starting to sell 9mm ammo by the pallet too.

That was also my experience at the Costa Mesa show a few weeks ago. I went on the first day, and aside from CCI 22LR ammo being sold out, there was plenty of ammo and short lines. There were no deals to be had. The only benefit (if you can call it that) of buying ammo at a show is being able to buy it all at once (quantity)...if you're willing to spend the money. LGS prices are about the same, but you aren't limited to only 2 boxes.

Why not buy some and put it in your checked luggage?
