Hey Stan! I know I don't post a lot on here, and you don't know me from Adam, but wanted to extend congrats to you with all the best wishes I can muster!

I've been married twice, both unsuccessfully, so I'm a cynic now, but I still wish you two all the best! Your new bride is wicked gorgeous and you are indeed a lucky man!!! (not to mention a great human being with all the other positive posts I've seen on here!)

I spent some time in WA as well (mainly Everett) and have been to OR to the McMinamin's in various spots as well, nice country up there, just rains too much for me!!! Looks like a beautiful venue for your wedding!

At any rate, I can state with complete authority that marriages CAN last if both are willing to work at it. The courtship is where most guys win her over, but then revert back to sloth after the knot is tied, whereas most women get used to it and they miss that attention. If your thoughts, deeds and actions that you had while you were dating continue through the marriage, it will be a long and happy one. It's give and take on both parts.

[Mine broke down because I was expected to give all the time, and they didn't, so I never got anything out of the marriage except for a little better housing and increase in monthly allowances (retired Navy here).]
