Really shot for the first time.

Hey all i went to Las Vegas this past weekend to celebrate my 21st been on the forum awhile lurking and waiting to go shooting for the first time since the only other time i have shot which was at camp and only a shot or two when i was a kid not at all since. So i figured why not start out strong. Me and my Dad went to the range and shot a m4 , an Uzi , and a glock 17 a deal package they had over there. And WOW did i have a great time even though my shots weren't as good as i'd like but it was only my first time i got over excited haha ,took alot less time aiming then i should have but boy, was it a blast the recoil on the m4 was amazing. But it makes me sad i will not shoot anything that awesome in this state. But we live with the cards that are dealt us :P

Oh yes did i also mention that i put a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 in jail before i left that i will be picking up as soon as i can
Also sorry about the horrible picture quality i took em' with my webcam.

nice to hear you had a great range experience...I've been a shooter for over 30 years, and, to this day, I still get excited when I plan my trip to the range...there is always that competitive spirit to do well with me, and, when I do happen to have a very nice groupings day, nothing makes me happier

congrats also on the M&P purchase, I recently bought one in .223 myself, can't get enough of it...love taking it out

Very nice i debated the .223 myself but figured as a starting gun that has less recoil would be better for me as a first gun and as 21 year old i don't have the disposable income to afford shooting as much .
223 as i will be able to 22lr

I'm confused. Are you in Nevada or California?

Good to hear you enjoy shooting!

Don't be worrying about accuracy for now, sounded like those guns are rental and they're not zeroed for you anyway.

Concentrate on the safety aspect of the weapon first, learn how to field strip, clean and put it back together. You did buy a cleaning kit along with your rifle I assume?

Nice! I still get excited when I go to the range. And you should see the gigantic grin on my face the whole time I'm there.

                  Sorry, not sorry.

Dear autocorrect, I'm really getting tired of your shirt!

Yeah they were rentals, i plan on buying eyes , ears and a cleaning kit when i go back to pick up the rifle. Thanks for the suggestion i will definitely learn how to clean my gun properly in the near future once i start putting some lead down range

Haha i had that huge grin the whole time as well especially stepping up to shoot the m4 first when the range officer handed it to me.
