This is one of my big fears as well. I don't want to be the guy tied up with him own extension cord and gaged while some creeps ransack my home (or worse).
The SF Chronicle article today said they believe this house was targeted for some unknown reason. Cold, random invasion robberies are very rare, theres usually some reason these criminals chose one house over another. I'll bet theres more to this story and we'll probably never know the rest of the story.
Maybe someday I'll write a book about home invasion robbery cases and what people did right or wrong, survived or not, and why they were targeted.NRA & CRPA member
