Hi all, i wasn't quite sure where to post this and had not been able to find my answer searching google. Little background first, my grandfather was an avid shooter and the one who got me into shooting in the first place, sadly he passed away a few years ago and i was given a few guns from his collection. I would like to try an obtain my ccw but my current pistol, and probably the most comfortable one ive held and shot before(xd40), is still registered to him. How do i go about transferring it into my name to comply with the ccw guidelines.

If you received the guns from his estate, as a named beneficiary, you should have filed the OPLAW form for the handguns.
If someone just gave them to you 'because we know he wanted you to have them', the guns should have been transferred via Private Party Transfer at an FFL.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
