    CZ 75b 9mm

I see one of these for sale on calguns in my area, was wondering if anybody had any reviews on them and what they should be selling for roughly.

I don't know much about them and didn't find much about them on the internet. I liked the look but not sure of anything regarding the gun.

I sold one a while back, and I'm in the market for one again. It's a great gun. Without a doubt one of my top 3 favorites. But they certainly aren't worth the $700-850 people are asking for them. The gun retails at $550-600 tops, and a number of stores get them in at that price. I'll keep looking for now and wait for the prices to come down on private sales.

CZ 75B is an excellent pistol that can be made even better with some tuning. The ergos, reliability, and low bore axis all contribute to its success. It is probably the best non-polymer value around. The compact versions (P-01, PCR, RAMI) are very popular and tough to find though they are making their way to LGS' recently.

I had one and liked it a lot except for the gritty new trigger. I would have liked a single action only trigger, too. The ergonomics and balance were great. The felt recoil was less compared to polymer guns. In a nutshell, I would recommend it.

Used one in great condition should fetch between $575 and $650 (no add-ons besides the standard stuff it came with). Some might pay more because they are hard to find.

Good luck! I hope this helps.

MSRP on the regular 75b is $500. Reputable shops sell them for around that. I certainly wouldn't be willing to pay $650 for a used one that only came with basic stuff.

It depends. Those reputable shops can't keep them in stock. The last time I saw a CZ in stock at a gun store was last year. They are popular guns and there seems to be shortage of them. If you want one now then over paying for a used one might be the only way to go.

The good news is that they are on the roster so there shouldn't be any problem with buying one new for MSRP whenever they show up in stores again.

Fantastic pistol. I let a deputy sheriff try mine out when we were at a range. His first time shooting a CZ. He fired ten rounds, looked at his target, looked at the gun, looked at the target, looked at the gun and then looked at me with a huge grin on his face. He then said, " I gotta get one of these!" Mine's been flawless after nearly 1,500 rounds.

I never believed what people were talking about when they praised CZ 75s....

But then I shot one and it was hands down the most accurate, comfortable, and the overall best pistol that I've ever used. I think I even made a thread about my experience...

                    Yup:

Buy one. If I could snatch one for a good price, I will too.

I've had two, regretted selling them both. Around the end of August I purchased another from Kentucky Gun Co (the 75 BD model). I would have kept the purchase but a day before it was set to ship they got in some SP-01's and I traded up for it.

But if I see one come up for sale on consignment or used at a local shop, I will surely pick one up.

I've had mine about eight years. It's accurate and very reliable. I reload for it and so far it's fed every bullet type I've tried. I also have the Kadet kit to change to .22LR. The CZ is what I measure my other pistols against.
