Can you show us a shot of the entire gun with its left hand side on the table. I wanted to see the ejection port, check if the slide stop hole was chamfered, and a few other little odds and ends of fitting. I also wanted to see how well the fit was on the grip safety a little more.
I have a similar build with a handful of extra goodies thrown in there. I would like to have the slide refinished because over the years there is a bit of wear on it. Its the tightest 1911 I have ever felt, but absolutely flawless in its function. Never a malfunction other than outright bad ammo that consistently shot like crap out of all my .45's.

And YES its dirty
It is the LAST gun I would sell off before selling any of my body parts for necessary money. I LOVE this gun. It was customized in 1981 before a lot of the perfect fitment of handguns was really huge. It has an older safariland grip safety that compared to today's standards fits like crap, but its nice and smooth, feels good, has hand checkered EVERYTHING from trigger guard, front strap, MSH, rear of slide, slide stop, plunger plug, and anything you really could checker. Sorry, for a thread jack, but figured I would share my love with you since you obviously know what it takes to get a gun of high caliber made to your specs.Comment
