M&P 9mm Magazines - Price Point

So .44 mag had a few standard capacity magazines last week, priced at $99
I believe it took a week to sell a few dozen

I believe Tuesday / Wednesday they had another lot; well over a hundred magazines, now priced at $89. By Friday I don't think they sold more then a dozen

Sunday the price was down to $59 with 88 magazines left
Within a few hours, they were gone

I also noticed they are selling M&P9's without magazines.........

Wonder where those magazines are coming from?

Midway USA has 17 round factory mags in stock (limit 2) for $33.00 per mag, but you know.

They parted out whole guns, backstraps included. They made at least $200-300 on each CORE series they parted out and they had around 100 of them. I wonder if S&W has a policy about it.

I just hope they overdo it and end up with all their M&P frames and pistols with no mags that they have to liquidate for a loss. Doubt that will happen though... people willing to pay $100 for a mag are willing to pick up these up too.

Remember before everyone starts dogging 44mag for high prices they are getting sued for selling us mag parts kits so maybe they need extra funds for their case, anyway it seems its just the SW M&P mags and not anything else.

Sorry, but this has nothing to do with the model 59. This is strictly the M&P in 9mm.

I think what 44mag is doing is genius. They are providing a supply for the demand. They do advertise that the M&P pistols do not come with any mags and they have lowered the prices on those guns accordingly. No one is forcing anyone to buy the mags if they don't want to.

I know from my personal experience selling on here that most buyers wont pay more for the extra mags that you have when selling your gun. You are almost always better off selling off the extra mags, keeping maybe 1 or 2 mags with the gun, and then lowering your selling price accordingly.

Explain to me how taking two mags out of a case and lowering the price to $40 less than you can buy a complete gun elsewhere is "lowering your selling price accordingly" when to buy those two mags they just took out of the case you would be spending $160 more than just buying the gun and mags together elsewhere.

Their business, their products, and they are free to do with them whatever they want, but it doesn't make it any less of a shady BS practice.
