    Another local shop is closed...

....sort of. I went to Southern California Guns to do a PPT today and the shop was gone! I called them and they just combined it with the Convoy St. shop. Just wanted to let others know that while the La mesa location is closed, the Kearny Mesa store is still open.

Not to kick them while they're down, but the La Mesa SCG was stocked full of bad attitude and old man pride.

Not a good thing to have when young money want's to buy something.

So that explains the sparse shelves and display cases I saw a couple of months ago.

Pertaining to their attitude, the person who appears to be in charge is quite ornery and has a penchant for snapping at one of the employee when I was there.

A complete opposite of the old crew that was there in 04/05. I wonder where those folks went.

Yeah, I was checking the local funshops on Tue. and they were gone, gone, gone.

        Sorry, I love the video.

Went next door to "Fine Firearms" where I found a 610 for a hundred bucks more than a 629.

Phooey, another one bites the dust.

Yep, we did the transfer next door. They really changed it from when it was La Mesa Collectibles. Purchased some ammo for a good price while I was there.

I lived in SD for 2 years, and always had a pleasant experience at SCG.

Oh man, now I understand why the guy helping me at the Convoy SCG was so grumpy when I asked about transferring a gun into his store.

I recently had them special order a Glock 30 for me and it went very smooth. Chris over at the convoy SCG was very friendly and helpful.

I think I've been in there all of one time.

                  Do they have good prices?

They're a tiny bit overpriced IMO, but I don't mind spending the little extra cash to help out a local shop. Mike is very friendly over there, wouldn't know about Chris.
