    Hypothetical question on rifles/guns

With the new doom and gloom coming over the horizon in CA regarding self loading semi auto I had a hypothetical question. If I were to give my registered guns to my father in law as gifts that has a residence in AZ. Would that preclude me from paying the idiotic tax they are trying to impose and absolve me from any further taxes or penalties imposed by our great government? This new bs is starting to piss me off.

    Thanks

Would you be able to bring them back to California?

Non-gun owners are not affected by gun ownership laws

      So what would you accomplish?

You would not be allowed to bring them back
"While it may come as a surprise to the authors of the legislation, most semi-automatic pistols do in fact come with a pistol grip"
Malthusianism is the idea that population growth is potentially exponential while the growth of the food supply is arithmetical at best.

So I could not use them or have them in my possession in CA if this were to occur?

You would have to transfer them to your father at an AZ FFL, per Federal law on interstate transfer.

You could NOT thereafter bring them back to CA without the owner - that would look like an illegal interstate transfer, AZ resident to CA resident.
