Crowdfunding 80% receivers

Does anyone know about this crowdfunding stuff, seems like a cool concept? Has anyone tied to buy or fund raise like this???
I emailed David sine of this project and he seemed nice enough and very prompt on his replies

Some have failed. Some are taking forever. Some are taking forever and post photos of "progress" that they have bought CNC machines that don't look up to the task.

This one seems to have come thru and is doing a 2nd run

They seem like mostly rip offs when it comes to gun stuff.

Precision seems legit, ppl have got stuff back and they are on a 3rd run... May get some 1911 from them and gamble with the other as he's offering 308 dpms that take g3 mags

In the future I think the way to go is to have preorders you can show a bank or lender... preorders that are not prepaid.

Even if they are at cost; if its cost including labor, rent, machine time, et cetera it is still better than not selling things. Sorta the idea of the $1 menu at fast food places. Better to sell at cost than have idle resources not bringing in anything. A lender can understand that.
