AR pistol questions

I had posted this in the handgun section but think it will get more response here.

when building an AR pistol do you need special buffers and springs? liek heavier or lighter? this is for a 5.56 upper. not a CA legal build but wont be used in CA.

for a 7" and a 10"

You use the same buffer tube and spring used in rifles. You can even remove the buffer tube and spring off of your ar rifle and use that temp. until you get one for the pistol.
