Was at Wally World today. Decided to hang around for the ammo, was told 4 pm at 4 spoke to clerk he said truck not even there then if has to off load.
The 4 guys there I guess they are there every stinking day. Pi$$ed me off actually. They are prepping and price gouging. If it was not fr the old guys club of 10 guys going to the Wally World, looks like everyone else would have ammo.
Did run into a guy trying to purchase an extra 600 rds for a wounded warrior shoot tomorrow. Has 300 WW going out.Comment

My God...BOTH prepping AND price gouging. And old guys, to boot.
Everyone else would have ammo if they had the intelligence and foresight to buy a bit each time they're in the store, whether big-box or friendly local gun store.

Ha! My local WalMart has typically picked clean but they make the ammo cabinet look full by filling it with boxes for optics. I was rather surprised to find .223 for sub $.50/rd but it was never as crazy out here as it was in Ca.Originally posted by fighterpilot562Damn it man! Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

Looks like some .45 too, nice. My Walmart's always looks like "Old Mother Hubbards Cupboard" unless you want .270Comment

Being one of the .000001% of calgun members here that actually shoot and uses ammo I find you bragging about your prowess of 2k rounds very very funny.Freedom in the USA is not the freedom from offense. It is actually the freedom to offend.Comment

Honestly, I don't get why people even take the time out of their day to pursue ammo in any caliber at Walmart. Between the so-so/ho-hum pricing, quantity limits, time waiting in line, tax, and having to be visually assaulted by overweight soccer-moms in yoga-pants 1/2 their proper size showing some zit-covered plumber's-crack or scary-hairy camel-toe, it's just not worth it.
I suppose if Walmart were a regular trip for other purposes and household needs, I might check in to see what they have, but it would not be the focus as to why I would even walk through their doors, so in that regard, I don't understand why "professional hoarders" would even waste their time at this point. Supply and prices are returning to more logical levels, so I'm baffled.
Inside of a couple of clicks, and very little time, I can have thousands of rounds of brass-cased/boxer primed ammo shipped directly to my office, at much cheaper than Walmart pricing even with the shipping costs. And PPU is some of the cheaper stuff going on most internet ammo sellers too. And I spend very little time doing so; no limits, no waiting at the counter for stock to arrive, no waiting in line, simple. My time is more valuable than the slight difference in cost, so even if I were spending a couple of cents more per round on ammo by buying over the internet, the lack of wait-time at the counter or in line, saves several cents over the Walmart route.
Only amateur hoarders buy their ammo at Walmart.Last edited by The Gleam; 09-01-2013, 12:02 PM.-----------------------------------------------

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?Comment
