My package from Rainier Arms sent to wrong address!

Woke up this morning to track the package since I expected it to arrive yesterday but didn't.

Did not need coffee to be sent into full awake as I saw that the package status was currently in San Diego when I am in Irvine!

I promptly called Rainier Arms but it appears they are not opened today so I shot them an email with my order details, number, and tracking link and letting them know my order was not being delivered to the right place or being diverted.

I then called USPS and the customer service operator looked into it and said the zip code on the label was not correct.

I checked my confirmation email. The shipping confirmation address from Rainier to me is correct.

What to do at this point? Already left message for Rainier and talked to USPS. They gave me a reference number and said they will contact the local post office to let them know the zip code on the package is wrong so it can be corrected. But this whole situation sounds fishy. First of all the package should have arrived already and second it is unlikely Rainier messed up on the label address and even if the zip code is wrong it would say the city.

The mailman will not find the address and ship the package back to Rainier Arms or USPS might find the mistake and forward it back to you.

Just hoping too no one notices the big red packaging tape that says "RAINIER ARMS" and starts to get curious while its in limbo right now.

Happened to me a few times. You'll eventually get it. Might take another week though.

Happened to me once. Checked in the morning "out for delivery". Drove home all happy for some new toys after work, no package! Looked in all the usual spots they hide them, nothing. Check online, delivered. Darn it!! Check my order on the site I bought it from and noticed a typo, a 0 instead of a 1 for the last digit. Went out and looked across the street, saw a package at their door, walked over and took it. Yup, delivered to the wrong address. Hate that feeling, all excited about new toys and then crushed! Just drive down and pick it up! lol

I had a rifle delivered by UPS. The driver, who regularly delivers "long packages" to my house said: "It had the wrong address on it, but, it had your name and it was shaped like a rifle, so I brought it here."
Love my UPS driver!

Rifle shaped box huh? I must be ordering from the wrong places, all mine come in regular shaped boxes.

I recently sold a item on ebay that needed to get shipped to Hawaii. The USPS lady entered the wrong zip code by 1 digit. The tracking said "undeliverable address" and the next day the buyer recieved the item at the correct address. Maybe you get Lucky a UPS catches the error and re routes your package vs sending back to rainier.

On a side note my friend recently ordered a package from rainier which showed delivered but he never recieved and Rainier pretty much said its not there problem. He currently has a dispute open with his CC. Lucky for me I haven't had any issues with them.
